Committed to Relationships

The CAPS Story

Since 1976, CAPS has been a trusted leader in preventing child abuse and neglect in north central Indiana. As the first organization of its kind in Indiana, CAPS has led the way in child abuse prevention and family support for nearly five decades. We've walked alongside families, offering programs and services that protect children, strengthen relationships, and respond to the changing needs of our community.

Today, CAPS continues that commitment — equipping parents and caregivers with the knowledge, support, and encouragement they need to raise safe and healthy children.

Our Work

CAPS serves families through a wide range of services/supports. We do this through prevention and early intervention response programs. We work together with families to build safer, stronger futures. Our prevention-first approach is rooted in trust, connection, and meaningful relationships. We listen, we support, and we create real change for the families we serve.
